Course Description
The foundational course in the sports media program. The course instructs students on the basics of writing sports stories, primarily game summaries for print media, such as newspapers and websites. Other topics include feture stories, column writing, interviewing technique, and Associated Press style. Attention is also given to writing game stories for broadcast media, such as television and radio, as well as writing for blogs and other New Media platforms. 2 SH.
