Off-Campus Summer School

In keeping with university policy on coursework at other institutions, Susquehanna students may also take summer courses at other institutions. Students planning to do so should complete the necessary form and provide the Office of the Registrar and the appropriate department head(s) with course description(s) from the other school at least two weeks before the end of the spring semester.

Susquehanna Summer Session

Susquehanna offers a seven-week regular summer session and two four-week intensive summer sessions, featuring a variety of online and on-campus courses, which are available both to Susquehanna degree candidates and to non-degree students. A list of the summer session courses is posted online early in the spring semester. Recent high school graduates who have been admitted to other colleges may enroll in the summer session. They should confer in advance with the college they plan to attend to make certain the credit earned will be transferable. Summer session students who plan to earn a Susquehanna degree should have their applications approved by the Office of Admission.

Susquehanna Winter Session

The Winter Session runs over the scheduled winter break every semester. The courses are designed as four-week online courses. There will be no class on Dec 25 and Jan 1. If cultural or religious observances not on these dates are in conflict with required class time, the student is asked to contact the instructor at the beginning of the course so appropriate accommodations can be made.

Due to the intensive nature of these courses, students are not permitted to enroll in more than one course unless they have permission from the Director of the Winter Session. Similarly, due to the expectations of the GO trips, students are not allowed to enroll in a winter course that overlaps with a GO trip unless they have permission from the Director of the Winter Session and the GO staff. The drop/add dates and refund information are available on the Winter Session website at Winter Session – Susquehanna University.
