Course Description
An introduction to the texts of the Hebrew Bible, with concern for their socio-historical contexts, literary forms, and theological insights. Attention also to the variety of ways in which this literature has been and continues to be valued. Prerequisites: Sophomore standing and one of the following: a course in religious studies, English, a history, DIVS-100 or WGST-100, or instructor's permission. Same as JWST-201. 4 SH.
