A survey of Biochemistry: structure and function of amino acids, proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, and nucleic acids; enzymology; metabolism; biosynthesis; and selected topics. Not acceptable for credit toward a major in Chemistry or Biochemistry, nor Biochemistry minor. Prerequisites: CHEM-204 General Chemistry II or CHEM-232 Structure and Reactivity; and CHEM-222 Organic Chemistry II. 4 SH.
