An introductory course on competent interpersonal communication skills. Topics include setting specific communication goals; ways we perceive, talk and listen to others; gender communication; how we use verbal and nonverbal communication; skills in relationships; and ethical considerations within the contexts of friendships, families, intimate partnerships and the workplace. 4 SH.
